KEMPNER TEXAS REAL ESTATE
Kempner Real Estate
Located halfway between Lampasas and Killeen / Fort Hood at the intersection of U.S. Highway 190 and County Road 2313, Kempner was originally named Picket Valley. After skirmishes with the natives during the early days of the 1850s, the town of Kempner finally settled on its current name. The name originated with Harris Kempner, director of the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railway. The Santa Fe Railway first came through the community in 1882.
Kempner offers plenty of recreational opportunities that are perfect for residents of all ages. Whether you're looking for a day of fishing on the fabulous Lampasas River, or viewing the animals at the Topsey Exotic Ranch or hiking through nature, you are sure to have a great time. Kempner is known for its small town feel and its availability of HOMES WITH ACREAGE and large RANCHES. If you're looking for a slower pace of life, then Kempner is the place for you. There is plenty of wildlife to observe (that's native wildlife, not city!), from deer and wild turkey to dove and armadillos and all surrounded by the beautiful Texas wildflowers blanketing the rolling hills.
Served by the Lampasas and Copperas Cove Independent School Districts, Kempner's youngsters are provided an excellent education that teaches students the knowledge and skills to become a productive member of society. As an added bonus, nearby higher education facilities include Central Texas College and Texas A & M Central Texas University.
Come check out the Kempner real estate market and view the many housing options from houses on acreage to Texas ranch land. With good country living set against the scenic Texas landscapes of Lampasas County, you can see why Kempner is an inviting community that residents are glad to call home.
